Playground Weekender 2010

18th - 21st February 2010

Supporting acts such as Orbital, Lupe Fiasco, Polyphonic Spree, Cameras, The Cribs, Norman Jay, Bluejuice and Brian Jonestown Massacre we took to the Mainstage on Saturday afternoon where we managed to pull a crowd seemingly out of nowhere with our new show. Our follow up show on the Filth stage on Sunday was also a sight to behold for the Playground punters.

Our Man Boof Durdin arranged a night of nights in a quest to find a cure for cancer. Boof is off on a cycling road trip from Brisbane to Cairns, a paltry 1,555 kilometres. Boof’s powerful legs could get him there overnight, but he has to take it easy on the rest of the peliton and is doing it over 10 days.

In an effort to raise $10 large for the Tour de Cure , Manchoir rose to the occasion and belted out some great rock and roll for the packed out Laugh Garage audience. At the end of the evening Manchoir were auctioned for charity adding another $1,000 to make a total of $13,528 raised on the night.
